Everyone knows the fairy tale character of Snow White. Made popular by the Brothers Grimm, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves is a timeless story passed down from generation to generation. This story of a magic mirror, ravishing beauty, poison apples and the seven dwarves has captured the hearts of many readers and has been successfully converted into Broadway plays, cartoons and movies.
The tale of Snow White and her wicked step mother queen gets another treatment this season. Scheduled to be released in the summer of 2012 this tale has the traditional elements of a maiden with “skin white as snow, lips red as blood and hair black as ebony”. However this story is a little different. In Snow White and the Huntsman, Snow white is the “fairest of them all” but she is not timid damsel. This story sees the transformation of Snow White who joins hands with the huntsman originally sent by Snow White’s wicked Queen mother to kill her. And she gets even. Never could the Queen imagine that Snow White would train with the huntsman in the arts of war to rid the kingdom of the evil menace of the queen.
This movie is all slated to be released for the summer and is already the most talked about Hollywood up coming release. It has a stellar cast. Snow White is played by Twilight’s Bella Swann ( Kristen Stewart), the evil queen is none other than the very versatile and extremely gorgeous Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth and Sam Claflin. The eclectic taste of Joe Roth takes you on this extra ordinary journey with the direction of the state of the art visuals Rupert Sanders.
This visual extravaganza is sure to be a treat. Critics are already praising Charlize Theron’s performance as the cold and calculating queen with her iron crown to her icy dialogue and the glass shattering screams. This breath taking actress shines in whatever role she picks so mark you calendars, this is one movie totally worth the wait.
