Color palette for winters
Pretty plum

Nature is at its best in the autumn/fall season. With the end of summer, the many leaves take on a life of their own with radiant shades in yellow, orange, auburn, red, gold, browns and charming greens. This vast color palette is sure to inspire even the cynical amongst us to take the time to appreciate nature’s handiwork.

The earthy tones of autumn serve as the main inspiration for designers in the winter season. With the arrival of the chilling cold, designers tend to focus on warm colors in the color wheel such as the multitude shades of red, auburn, terra cota, orange and maroons. One of the many colors seen on international and local ramps was Fire Engine Red. This strong and intense color carries strength and exuberance with a bit of fire. Be sure to include a lot of red in your wardrobe for the winter to stand out from the crowd. Red is the color for passion, individuality and strong sense of leadership. Turn on your fiery charm with this hot color.

Another innovate shade of orange used around the winter season is the pumpkin shade of Marigold. This vibrant shade is seen all around during the fall season and should be a part of any wardrobe. Use this energetic color and explore your fun side this winter. With such a vibrant color, make sure you stick to the policy of less is more. An entire outfit of Marigold can be a disaster; however a simple scarf or a pair of big Marigold ear rings can add life to the otherwise dull colors of winter.

The color of peace and tranquility, green and all shades of it is the perfect color to have this season. This soothing color has been seen on many international ramps. Experiment with the different shades of green ranging from military green to olive, parrot and the brilliant bottle green.

For those looking to be a bit more feminine, two girly colors seen this season are plum and fuchsia. Bring out your tender side with these two fun and flirty colors. The purple shade of plum is very much “IN” these days. Discover purple plum, eggplant purple or grape. This deep hue creates a rich feel and is definitely worth investing in. Looking for a lighter shade? Go for soft shades of fuchsia. Make your mark with this effervescent shade and don’t be afraid to show your feminine side.
